Practice Yoga has changed my body, mind & spirit. I am 53 years old and I began taking Yoga classes three times per week at the end of August (16 weeks). At the time I began I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and was 15 lbs. overweight. I had also starting smoking cigarettes again…. I have found that Yoga loves your body and transforms it to the body that’s perfect for you. My mind used to race from thought to thought and it has learned to be quiet, as Yoga has taught me to pay attention to my breath which led to other investigations into meditation. I have never enjoyed exercising and have tried many different types and Yoga is the only thing I have found that I think I can spend the rest of my life doing. Everything about my body has changed. My blood pressure is now below normal, as is my cholesterol. I’ve lost 15 pounds. My body is completely transforming and best of all I’ve stopped smoking again. Practicing Yoga makes you want to eat healthier and really take care of your body. The end of the class is my favorite as you are led to complete relaxation, and when you exit the school you are completely tranquil and at the same time exhilarated knowing you have really given your body the gift of Yoga.
